My Story.
In 2019, I first heard about cryptocurrency during my final year of high school. A friend of mine, Odey Alexander, was a moderator for Web3 projects. Odey wasn't just any student; he was the wealthiest kid in school, earning in dollars—a rare feat in a third- world country. Although he didn't explain much about crypto, I was intrigued..
At the time, I had no computer, no phone-just curiosity. Every night, I borrowed my elder sister's phone while she slept to research what cryptocurrency was. Back then, Bitcoin was $8,900, and my understanding of crypto was embarrassingly basic: buy low, sell high. Still, I believed in it's potential.
After high school, I worked at a daycare in Nigeria, earning less than $10 a month to save for a phone and pursue crypto. Eventually, I got a used Infinix Hot 8 and paid $15 to Paula of Blockdot Academy to teach me about DeFi. But before that happened, something unexpected changed my life.
One day after Mass, a Catholic priest, Father Istifanus, asked what I was doing while waiting for college admission. I explained my daycare job and my goal to save for DeFi training. He asked me to write down my plans and bring them to him the next day. My plan was simple:
• Learn DeFi • Start earning from DeFi jobs • Use DeFi to transform my life The next morning, he sent me the money I needed. That single act of kindness sparked the journey that brought me here. Since then, I have: • Written for major exchanges and platforms like MEXC Global • Ghostwritten for two influential KOLs • Conducted 50+ founder and VC interviews for DreamPitch • Competed in over 15 thread contests • Launched a newsletter with 200+ subscribers in its first 2 months • Pitched to over 500 Web3 projects looking for working opportunities
There have been moments of triumph and setbacks— building two failed websites, losing a major job, and hitting $0 again.. But through it all, l've grown. From seeing crypto as just Bitcoin to analyzing market catalysts and researching emerging narratives, my understanding of the space has evolved profoundly.
Today, l'm a Web3 storyteller, researcher, and strategist, blending my passion for crypto with loads of experience. My journey began with curiosity, sacrifice, and an extraordinary act of faith. I'm grateful for every step along the way.
